Suri, West Bengal : Coming down heavily on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her nephew Abhishek Banerjee, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday asserted that the only way to remove crime of ‘Didi-Bhatija’ is to bring the BJP in the saddle in West Bengal.

Addressing a mammoth gathering here in Birbhum district, Shah exhorted the people of Bengal to give more than 35 seats to the BJP in the coming Lok Sabha polls to ensure that Narendra Modi become Prime Minister again.

Stating that only the BJP can stop illegal immigration, cow smuggling and corruption, Shah said, ” The only way to remove the crime of ‘Didi-Bhatija’ is BJP. The only way to free Bengal off terror is BJP. The only way to stop

infiltration in Bengal is BJP…Give us 35 seats in 2024, there will be no need for 2025 (West Bengal poll); before 2025 Mamata didi’s government will collapse. ”

Taking strong exception to attacks on Ram Navami rallies, the Union Home Minister iterated that the Ram Navami violence took place because of Mamata Banerjee Government’s appeasement policies.

Giving a clarion call to bring the BJP to power, Shah said, ” Once BJP comes to power, nobody will ever have the courage to attack Ram Navami rallies. ” Bring BJP to power in 2024 and this government will collapse before 2025, ” Shah averred.

Stating that Mamata Banerjee doesn’t care about the youth of Bengal who are running hither and thither for employment, Shah said, ” Her only target is to make her nephew the next chief minister of this state. She is only focused on pasting her picture on central government schemes. ” He also thanked the electorate for giving 77 seats to the party in the state in the last Assembly election.

Earlier, he inaugurated the district BJP office at Suri. Later in the evening, he will come to the city and hold a closed door meeting with the state party leaders.

Shah will also pay a visit to Dakshineswar Temple and offer obeisance. The Home Minister will return to New Delhi on Saturday.
